Hey everyone - I would like some help on a dating subject. I am a late 20's male with a mid 20's female friend that I have a crush on, but I am not ready to ask her out. She is looking at the possibility of moving out of state in April, but I want her to know that there is someone here that is interested in her. She doesn't know that I currently have a romantic interest in her.

I was planning on sending flowers to her workplace (She works at a hospital) and have a note attached that said "From a friend that admires you" or "Surprise - You have a friend that thinks you are awesome!"

Would this be appropriate - more importantly do you think that she would like the surprise and start trying to find out who sent them? I primarily want to see her reaction to receiving the flowers.

Please help! I would enjoy the thoughts of a woman on this!!

I am looking to move to the Greensboro, NC area in the next few months. I would like to move to an apartment complex that is quiet, pet free (I don't like dealing with the early morning and late night barking of dogs), has decent amenities (pool and exercise room preferable), and where I can rent a one bedroom apartment for under 800 a month. If possible I prefer to be near the Jamestown area, but that is not necessary. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

I am the computer systems administrator over a call center with 400 computers plus multiple servers/switches/routers, etc.

I need recommendations for a voltage logger. The purpose is to be able to attach the logger to an electrical drop that I suspect of having intermittent problems. I want to see a log of the voltage over a period of time. I prefer something that is in-line (or even a clamp on style could work). Since this is something that my company does not provide (nor will I use very often), the price must be affordable.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm a junior computer tech working in a large call center with over 450 computers to maintian. Of course, there is always a program that needs installed, computer that needs re-imaged, or file that needs moved. I really rely on my USB flash drives, which consist of a 16GB corsair rubberized drive, and a 8GB sandisk cruzer.

I always carry my 16GB and 8GB drives with me, along with two security proximity cards and my VPN token. All of this needs to be on me at all times. Needless to say, I need a good lanyard for all of this stuff.

Does anyone have any recommendatoions? Thanks!

Is it possible to run an unlocked Nokia E71 on AT&T's Go-phone service? I want the $60 unlimited talk/text package that they have, but don't want to shell out $89 for unlimited talk/text on a contract... plus get hammered with a required $30 data plan ($119 before taxes, twice the price!)

Has anyone tried this before, with any smart phone (black berry, HTC tilt 2, Samsung Jack, etc)? I'm afraid to drop $300 into a phone and not have it work because they blocked the phone's IMEI.

I am looking at purchasing a contract plan with AT&T. However, I am looking at the Nokia E71x, and I notice that I have to purchase a minimum of $30/month data plan. I really don't want to do that, as I just want the phone for text messaging, not data. Would I be able to just get a basic phone for free when I get the contract, then purchase the E71x on Ebay and move my SIM card to it and avoid the$30 month fee? Thanks!

Everyone, I'm dying to know: I've heard that Subaru will come back with a new version of the Baja. I'm curious, have anyone of you heard this? Any idea on the new release date?

A friend of mine has gotten me into hiking/fishing/etc (you know, the outdoors stuff). I am looking for some kind of defense against snakes. I would prefer non-lethal, as we will be in the woods with young teenagers and around other families as well. I know a .22 pistol with snake shot would work, but are there other options? Pepper sprays, perhaps?

Ok, I'm back to ask another automotive related question (notice how I have a knack for doing that?) Ok, so here is the deal: I have a 2003 Subaru Legacy wagon that needs new tires. I will be driving in the rain, and some slush and light to medium snow.

I'm looking at a couple of options:

Good Year Assurance Triple Tread tires for $640 installed (thats $160/tire). I love the design and the reviews this tire has gotten.

OR

Fireston FR 710 for about $375, but I have a 25% off coupon, which brings the cost down to $280. But, I can't find many great reviews about these tires.

Yeah, MAJOR price difference. So, the question:

Are the assurance triple treads REALLY worth the money over the firestone tires? Are the Firestone FR 710's good on snow/ice/rain?

I just got done watching an episode of "DEA" on Spike TV. In a lot of busts that the cops do, they come across a large sum of money (this last bust was nearly 1 million). I would really like to know what happens with this money for sure. My best guess is they check for counterfeit bills (surely a TON of that money is counterfeit), then deposit all of the legit money into the cities bank account. Just curious what REALLY happens. Any law enforcement personnel out there care to shed some light on this?

I just made beer burgers for the first time the other night using a simple, self made recipe: soak the burgers in beer (Heineken), toss onto skillet. Simple, easy. But something happened that I didn't expect: when I poured the beer into a bowl containing the ground beef, the beer seemed to break the meat down almost instantly, making it difficult to form the meat into patties, and even more difficult to keep it from falling apart while cooking it. I am just curious as to what would cause this... and does this reaction break down the meat itself, or does it break down the fat in the meat? Thanks a bunch!

I have a 2003 Subaru Legacy wagon, and is covered with fine swirl marks that I would like to polish out using a porter cable 7424 with an orange polish pad from lake country pads (light cutting power, I believe); using Pinnacle XMT 3 swirl remover followed by Pinnacle XMT 1 finishing polish (using the white pad from lake country). My concern is this: I have the dreaded paint knicks on the front of my hood from road debris... If I polish that part of my hood, would it cause more damage to the paint system by stripping or chipping more of the clear coat? If so, should I skip polishing the chip marks, or should I simply use a less aggressive compound and pad (such as pinnacle xmt 2 and white pad)? Any help on this matter would be great. Thanks!

Just curious to see if anyone else is having a similar problem with the HP Officejet j4850. Mine klunked out on me, displaying the message: "Incompatible Tri-color ink cartridge".

What is really bad is the fact that we have used this same cartridge (came with the printer) for over six months, and it just now gave us problems. I can't print anything color, and I cannot even align or clean the cartridges while the color cartridge is still in the printer.

I know whats wrong (a malfunction with the printer), and I know the symptoms (printer wont work, large amount of color ink sprayed everywhere on the inside of the printer), I am simply curious if anyone else has had this problem.

I have a 7 year old walk-behind (not self propeled) craftsman 190cc mower (I think it's rated for 6.5 HP), four cycle. I know that there are things that you can to to increase horsepower to these things, and I would like to know what can be done to give me another few horses (1.5 to 2 HP extra would be GREAT!) The extra HP would come in handy with the thick grass I have. Plus, I want to be able to tell my friends I have the most powerful mower on the block! Thanks a bunch!

I bought a 2003 Subaru Legacy L in december with 63,500 miles on it. When I test drove it, I didn't notice any problems. However, I think there might be a problem.

When I am driving, and let off the gas (such as to go around a corner), and then give it some gas, the car jerks if I am doing 35 MPH at the time I give it some gas. I don't slam on the gas. I know this has SOMETHING to do with the overdrive gear, as it will not do this when I have it in 3rd. It only does it when I have it in 'D', and wont do it when I'm doing anything below or above the 34-36 mph range. The problem is that I live on a narrow, windy country road, and I'm always doing 35 mph.

Also, if I am simply accelerating past 35, up to a higher speed without letting off the gas, the car shifts just fine when it hits 35. Nor will it jockey between gears when I am coasting at 35

Is this a transmission problem, or is the tranny just annoying like this?
