Hey,i'm guillaume,19,live in dublin, speak two languages, like electronic and dance music. I'm a pretty cool guy!
Street photography camera recommendations?
I have a Canon DSLR already which, while I'm happy with it proves just to be cumbersome for discreet and candid picture taking especially with a 200' lens on.
Can somebody recommend me a much smaller, compact camera (or a range of cameras and makes) that would be perfect for getting around easily? I don't need too many features. Bonus would be if it has a vintage feel to it. Not looking for an average every day digital camera.

The credit card that is linked to my eBay/PayPal account had to be cancelled and I'm now waiting for a new one. In the meantime eBay has started to send me emails saying that I have not yet paid what I owe them. How can I contact them directly to explain the problem? Their customer service section is useless as is the case with many of these multinationals.

2 réponsesOther - Irelandil y a 9 ansHow to embrace the present and future?
I have a strong sense of nostalgia for the past, especially the 80s and 90s.I feel life was and simpler back then, music, fashion, culture, etc. Although I feel the present times we are living in are bad, how can I just embrace the present and future and move on? Is it normal to have such nostalgia for decades past?
2 réponsesPhilosophyil y a 9 ansIs there anything positive about Globalization and Consumerism?
I see these things as one of the biggest scourges of society today. Although they have become part of our daily lives and routines, and we are all affected by them in some way, does that make them normal? Ps: I'm not some crackpot hippie or communist, just an average guy observing the wolrd around him.
1 réponseSociologyil y a 9 ansTravelling from St Tropez to Nice Airport?
Hi. I'll be travelling to St Tropez with friends in August but I will be leaving 4 days earlier than everybody else which means making my own way back to Nice Airport. Seeing as I won't be driving what would be the easiest way to get to Nice? ( Bus, Train, Taxi) I know its quite a distance away. I suppose I could take a taxi but that would probably cost me quite a bit. Anyone know how much?
Help would be very appreciated.Thanks
2 réponsesProvence-Alpes-Cote d`Azuril y a 9 ansA different take on the homosexuality nature VS nurture debate?
I know that this question has probably been asked several times but I want to try a different take on the issue. Is initiating a nature vs nurture debate about homosexuality wrong? Should it be treated like an anomaly worthy of scientific and philosophical debate? Or should it be concluded that some human beings simply are the way they are? Opinions please.
Ps: There is no prejudice on my part as my old sister recently came out.
6 réponsesLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgenderil y a 9 ansWhat happened the day the music died?
Do you agree that the age of good music is gone? I personally feel the age of good mainstream music died at the end of the 90's. People didn't feel the need to use electronics to boost their sounds all the time like artists do now. The only type of music I would describe as 'good' is underground stuff with artists that are less known. I suppose everyones Definition of good music changes from person to person but I think people can generally agree about what music is not good. Looking back over the decades, we had some legendary acts who are still going whether in pop, rock or others genres of music. In decades from now, do you think any modern artists or bands will be remembered and admired as being legendary? I'm pretty sure we won't be producing any rolling stones or Michael Jacksons anytime soon..
What do you think of the state of music today?
BQ: Who's your favourite band or singer? (modern or classic)

10 réponsesAdolescentil y a 9 ansWhat is your opinion about the Eucharistic congress?
As most of you probably know, Ireland is to host this religious event in June. The last time we hosted it, in 1932, Dev was in power. The republic was obviously a very catholic country back then, and through the decades our country has now changed. So I have two questions, 1. considering the troubling (to say the least) developements that have taken place in regards to the catholic church here in ireland, how do you think the congress will be received by those who are not devout catholics? and 2. how do you feel about the event yourself? will you be participating?.
Thanks for answering!
8 réponsesOther - Irelandil y a 9 ansIs there any hope for earth?
Every day,we hear about the ravages mankind has been doing to our planet.Pollution, destruction of wildlife..the list goes on and on.At 19, I'm at a stage where I wonder what kind of future my generation will have,If we have a future at all.Governments don't seem to care about the issue, and the only thing on their minds seems to be the growth and prosperity of their countries. Can something really be done reverse our fortunes,or will be doomed to colonising space?
9 réponsesGlobal Warmingil y a 10 ansSupport for Mcguiness?
I've noticed,(perhaps I'm wrong) that there seems to be a very forgiving attitude towards Martin Mcguiness in this section.Certainly,an answer of mine condemning him was recently shot down. How can people just turn a blind eye to a man who actively took part in the warfare that this country endured over several decades? Some have glorified him, describing him as ''reformed'' and saint like as regards to the role he ''played'' forwarding ireland to peace.Surely a leopard never changes his spots! Do we really want someone like this representing our country? (and getting paid 200,000 euro plus, for it!)

5 réponsesOther - Irelandil y a 10 ansA question about the Mallorca rocks hotel?
Hi. I'm 19 and I'm going to Majorca with my friends in August for 10 days. We're staying in the Majorca rocks hotel and I've heard two contrasting views. The first, from the hotel site which exhibits the hotel as modern, bright and well kept, not to mention student friendly,(I'm not even in uni yet). The other, reviews I have read are by those who have experienced it first hand. It's often described as seedy, and poorly managed were fights and thefts are a common occurrence. Can anybody who has experienced this hotel enlighten me on what they thought of it?
Thanks! :)
guillaume.
