  • If Socialism is so "bad", why Does It always Bail out Capitalism?

Let's look as some Economical Facts:

    1) Socialism bails out failing companies and banks.

    2) Socialism bails out failing Airlines

    3) Socialism offers companies loan deferments, tax abatements and employee credit all of which we call Corporate Welfare.

If this country depended solely on the Stock Market and Capitalism, the USA would have ceased to exist back in 1938.

So is Socialism a failure? Or is it Capitalism?

  • Is It True That Sarah Palin Cheated With a Black Man?

Did Sarah have an extra-martial affair with a Black Man while she was a Mayor? This person is supposed to go public sometime before the election.

  • Should We Ask Iran, Russia and North Korea to be Nice to Palin also?

I mean if our media and all males have to bite their tongues or be seen as sexist or patronizing for criticizing her, shouldn't we send letters to Putin, Ahmedinajad, Chavez and Bin Laden to leave her alone also?

  • Does It Bother Anyone That Iraq and Afghanistan Wars Lasted Longer than WWI&II?

Soon both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, individually, would have lasted longer than ANY war (Civil war to Vietnam) that the US has had. Moreover, it will have cost more than ALL of them combined.

  • If Family Matters, Why Aren't We Pressing For Candidates "Presumptive Joint Custody" after a Break Up?

Surely the Presidential candidates have an opinion on who gets children after a divorce or non-marriage break up? The candidates spend alot of energy discussing Family Values, but not once, except regarding Gay Marriage/adoption, does the subject of what should happen to children after a relationship ends?

I personally think that since both people made the child, the law should mandate both parents have equal access to them, unless they can show just cause they shouldn't (child abuse, mental problems, co-dependency etc.).

Before you say it isn't a federal matter, remember the Federal Laws such as the Family Marriage Act and the Uniformed Joint Child Custody Act?

    Your thoughts?

  • Should the US Constitution be Amended so that the VP is the person who comes in second, not as Running Mate?

Yes I know "to the victor goes the spoils", but do you think that it is fair and reasonable that a candidate who spends hundreds and millions of dollars and loses, loses everything?

    http://www.usnews.com/blogs/barone/2008/6/27/why-v...

I think that we should scrap the VP running mate and allow the loser to hold the VP slot and confine and define his duties as President of the Senate. Specifically, he would hold the same power as the Speaker of the House.

Having the opposition with that kind of power would force the winner to build coalitions and build bridges, in order to get his nominees appointed or get legislation passed, especially those contrary to the opposition's platforms.

Imagine if Al Gore had become VP again, with his new powers as Pres. of Senate, he could have blocked Bush's Iraq invasion and forced Bush to modify the Patriot Act or any other Presidential Agreements with Foreign Nations.

Now what if we amended the Constitution to allow for a second VP who would preside as Speaker of the House? Perhaps that could be a third party candidate?

I am just throwing thing out here? Maybe others think some of the Cabinet Heads should be VPs?

  • If Experience was Necessary, Why Didn't the Founding Fathers Include it?

All of this talk about experience, military service, foreign trips are nothing more than Repbulican distractions from real issues.

The US Constitution doesn' t list or imply any experience or criteria, other than age and citizenship, to any of the three Branches of Government.

The Founding Fathers wanted a nation ruled by the people for the people, not technocrats, ogliarchs and autocrats.

If they wanted such a nation they would have specified minimum education and experience requirements for the branches.

If we want such requirements, then we need to change the Constitution and then we know what to qualify candidates on.

Aside from that history has clearly shown that experience doesn't mean that the President (or any other branch leader) will do a great job.

Does that also mean that any attacks on Obama are attacks against blacks?

  • Is Sarah Palin the first Affirmative Action Vice President?

When we compare her background to the 40+ other male governors and even some big city mayors who have city populations 8 times as big as Alaska, who can argue that this was nothing more than another example of Affirmative Action working in white women's favor, who is otherwise least qualified?

  • Does Palin Really not know What a VP does?

Again this is the judgment of McCain and the party are putting their hopes and future on a VP who stated that she doesn' t know what a president does?

According to the US Constitution: the Vice president has two responsibilities to make the deciding vote in the event of a tie in Senate, as the role as President of the Senate. Second to fill in or replace the President if the President is unable to fulfill his duties.

Please explain how a person who was a mayor, a state Governor and Commander and Chief of her National Guard, doesn't know the basics of the US Constitution branches of government?

  • Why Would McCain Nominate Someone Facing Indictment?

    Here are the issues:

    1) Palin is under investigation for perjury and Malfeseance in the scandal known as "Troopergate"

    2) Why did she allow her husband to make phone calls presuring the Police Commissioner in Troopergate? That makes open to public scrutiny right?

    3) If the investigation goes against her she could be the first VP Nominee to face criminal charges or removal from State office.

Is this the kind of judgement Republicans are looking for?

  • What Do You Guys Think Of BET's "The Iron Ring"?

It is similar to the Ultimate Fighter, except the teams are "ran" by Rappers. Frank Trigg and some well known former UFC fighters are involved in the training and coaching. It is obvious that the show is meant to bring a newer audience to the world of MMA.

Before I got to watch it I read plenty of reviews and none of them were good. I watched it last night and it was actually pretty good. With TUF I would see maybe two fights, but TIR has around four fights or more.

The entire environment reminds me of PRIDE because of the boxing ring and how the camera would switch to watch audience reactions.

  • Why does Hillary think that Because she won Ohio, Pennsylvania etc, She Beat McCain?

John Kerry and Al Gore both won Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania etc. in the Primaries and STILL lost to Bush in 2000 and 2004. I think that her main mistake is she ignores Kerry and Gore, in favor of Bill Clinton who won those states in both the Primaries and the General Election. But here is a reality check...Hillary, you AIN'T Bill!

  • Using My Camcorder, How Can I watch Movie Files from my computer?

I have an HP Pavilion XT914 and a Canon ZR500. I have the A/V from the Camcorder to the TV and the Firewire from the Camcorder to the Computer.

I can play recorded movies from my camcorder to the TV. I can record converted movie files from the pc to the camcorder and play it on the TV.

But, how can you by pass all of that and just play a movie file from your PC via your Camcorder and onto the TV?

  • Should Mixed Martial Arts Allow The Use of Elbows and Knees?

Back in the days of "No holds Barred" and untelevised bloodsports, it was allowed to do ANYthing to win. Eye gouging, head butts, spine attacks etc. Later they changed the rules to only allow knees and elbows.

    But is that far enough?

If these organizations (UFC, Pride, Bodog etc.) want to be more than a blood shouldn't they completely get rid of elbows and knees?

Is allowing such things artistic? Isn't the premise to win, not disable the opponent in the sport?
