What is proper distance from pole-mount transformers?
What are the proper distance from pole mount transformers to a house? We have three homes tied to one transformer, two are 100' away and the third is 300' away. The third house uses two intermediate utility poles.
Should it have it's own transformer? What are the regulations? Could this be dangerous? As there are high voltage lines right there I assume that this was done to save money.

Lee26's answer in his obscure all caps (which he says is used in documents in Canada) is basically saying that you need to have longer wires supported at 100 foot intervals, which you have. Extending the high voltage line to put the house on its own short wire lead would be more expensive, require (perhaps) taller poles for the high voltage and be pretty much pointless.

FOR THOSE 240V POWER FEEDS INTO HOUSE , NOT MORE THAN 100' IF NO MORE SUPPORT POLE IN BETWEEN, FOR UNDER GROUND POWER CABLE, NO SUCH LIMITATION OR WITHIN 500'.
