What birth control method (if any) did you use before you got pregnant?

I used birth control from the time I was 16 until I was 22. When my husband and I decided to start trying for kids, I stopped taking the birth control. Got pregnant within 3 months. Just had my daughter 2 months ago. I'm back on birth control.

I've taken a few different types: Allese, Yaz, the ortho-patch, and the Nuva-ring. I had good results with all. My only complaint was that the Nuva-ring made my skin less elastic in my girl areas. It caused me to get little cuts if I had too much sex. I no longer use that one! Ouchy!

the pill (with condoms), which worked even though the pill i was on was recalled later...woohoo! then condoms with spermicide foam or those spermicidal inserts which worked well together, also i have tried the ovulation calandar with the pull out method which didnt work and then i got pregnant because i forgot to check the calandar before having sex and the other time because i ovulated twice in one month oops! so i dont recomend that method at all.

I took the pill for many years (which I would recommend... it's easy and reliable as long as you take it properly) and then once I was off the pill we used a combination of condoms and spermicide inserts which you can both buy over the counter. I also used and IUD for a period of time, which I liked, but had irregular spotting all the time. And I also used the depo shot a long time ago, but that made me gain a lot of weight.

I was on ortho tricyclene. I had been on it for over 14 years. . . Guess my husband had the "magic touch".

Natural Family Planning. Very effective if you know your body.

condoms, I don't recommend them if you seriously do not want children, all three of mine were conceived using them!
