There`s speculation that Tony Blair could be offered the job of president of the European?

Is he a fit person to be in charge of Europe ?

Mise à jour 2:

yes Michael your right ,thats why i put the link there for people like you

The creation of a permanent European president of the European Council and the creation of a European foreign minister is designed to accrue more power to the centre in the EU

Do you know it amazes me sometimes how some people can exist in the 21st century with little or no knowledge of their own domestic politics!

    Allow me to educate you.

The European Presidency has a term of six months only, each member state takes the Presidency in turn. To be eligible to hold this post you must be either the Prime Minister or President of your country. Tony Blair is not even an MP, therefore he cannot be European President. QED

    EDIT (for Kenygurl)

There is a big difference between being President of the European Council and being the President of Europe.

Tony Blair as President of the Europian Council would in reality mean nothing to anyone!

However If the EU ever becomes THE UNITED STATES of EUROPE and elected a president, then I for one will emigrate to Iraq.

Tony Blair is the Pedo of politics, He not only sent our troops into 2 non winnable wars, then without so much as a by your leave to the British public, he enrolled us into a union that he and his puppet brown will I'm sure secure there future employment, he's pimped Britain to put himself in pole position for his long planned presidency he has already proved he is not trustworthy honest or reliable, and if he gets his hands on the reins of European power, there will be no chance of getting Britain out of this mess. The Queen and Prince Charles better watch their backs, or it might be king Tony 1 of Scotland on the throne !!!!

If you thought he,d given up being prime minister just for the sake of it you,re totally naive.

Once he left, Gordon Brown was free to sign the European Charter and help Blair into power in Brussels.

Doing it this way avoided offering the British people a referendum.

edit: NO he is not fit to run Europe.

If there's a good reason for pulling out of the EU this is it.

Talk about adding insult to injury. The man (and I use term loosely) is a two faced lying SOB

I cannot imagine that the rest of Europe's leaders are naive enough to accept him as the overall leader taking into account the general animosity towards Blair amongst the general public in Europe. It is only the Labour zealots who see him in a favourable light. The rest of us took off the rose tinted glasses many years ago.

that would certainly explain a lot. as to why we are heading for the nightmare so quickly. BLAIR!! and Brown have already sold us out. Blair will have given Europe what it has always wanted. Briton as Europes industrial Island. isn't it amazing what you can achieve as a liar a deceiver and a mass murderer. now that axplains why the well off are allready leaving, and the country is being filled up with cheap labour. we were warned of this plan in the late 70s but it was quickly hushed up. they realy are going to do it. i wondered where all this property abroud thing was headed. the reality is that they have been planning this for years i suppose that might also explain whythe property market has never been pulled into line with the rest of Europe.

No! The term Moron comes to mind when Bliar is mentioned. He is the British equivalent of a weapon of mass destruction. This man if let loose on Europe will be worse than the Bubonic plague.European shops will be blitzed by his freebie loving wife and European culture debased to the level of lying and spinning. We are all doomed if this occurs.

He is probably as fit as anyone else to do the job , however I don't want a president of Europe thank you very much .

We pay for enough politicians as it is with the various forms of governments we have

The main reason we have lower unemployment , and highest no of jobs is that we have created thousands more politician jobs !! , not to mention all these advisers and spin doctors . No wonder our taxes are so high

That's good news, Tony B brought England to its knees,

hopefully he will do the same with Europe.

then he will become a Muslim and be king of the world

what a tosser, and we sit on our hands and let it happen.

I don't care what anyone else thinks, but I think Tony Blair did good job as our PM under very difficult circumstances. He would be excellent as President of Europe, I for one cringe at the thought of A German or Frenchman being in charge. Just because Iraq is still an ongoing mess shouldn't negate from the other good stuff that he achieved.
