He is taking it out on my other family members. He does not trust the guy(rightly so) but how can I get him to understand it is my life and I want to try to make this work and for him to please support me instead of being pissed about it? He is seriously pissed.

My boyfriend wants me to quit my good paying job and move to another state to where he lives. I want to do this but lately it seems he is not involved with helping me move and when all I want is for him to take time off at the end of summer to help me move a few items he seems put out and tells me I am being needy and demanding. I am moving most of the stuff myself in a few weeks and driving across country to be with him all by myself, so is it too much to ask he come back down to help me with the rest later this summer when he has time off of work?
