Am I being Needy?

Question

My boyfriend wants me to quit my good paying job and move to another state to where he lives. I want to do this but lately it seems he is not involved with helping me move and when all I want is for him to take time off at the end of summer to help me move a few items he seems put out and tells me I am being needy and demanding. I am moving most of the stuff myself in a few weeks and driving across country to be with him all by myself, so is it too much to ask he come back down to help me with the rest later this summer when he has time off of work?

I am a guy and I can't believe you are actually going to quit a job and move in with a guy who won't even help you!!  What is he gonna be like if you are pregnant or disabled???  Hey, I'm all for women's lib and all that, if a woman does the same job as me she SHOULD be getting paid the same, but by the same token, if a woman wants me to quit a job and move to where she lives she can da*n well help me move if she wants me near.  Get rid of this selfish, overly-demanding as*... Do you have NO self-esteem?  What makes you think you don't deserve better?  You do.  I feel sorry for you and no, you're not being needy, practically everyone (guy or girl) would ask for a little help in your shoes.  good luck, but if you get out now ya won't need the luck!!!

Don't worry about yourself. No offense but your man is a lazy S.O.B. I mean if I asked my girl to quit her WELL paying job to come live with me I would help her move at any time that she needed me. I would even pay for her gas money. I would put the least amount of work on my girl as possible. He is being selfish.

You are not being needy. If he wants you to move all the way to another state, he should atleast offer to help you. He is just disgusing. What kind of guy ask you to move and then doesnt help you? He has to be crazy.I say leave him, cause its already starting off bad.

Dump him!  If he can't even help you out when you are moving cross country to be with him, think of what things may be like when you get there.  You are NOT being needy.  He wants you to give up everything you have to be with him, and he doesn't even want to make it easy on you?  Ughhh!  He sounds like a total asshole!

Don't move...if he really wanted you to move, he would help you in anyway he can. He is lazy too. You are NOT being needy.  You shouldn't even be doing it yourself.
Nothing you are asking here is too much.  Maybe too little! But since you love him.....you will do it.......but I hope you don't.

hes being a jerk but maybe he doesnt know that try asking again but this time tell him that it doesnt seem right or fair for u to quit ur job and he wont help u move to be with him and try not to make it sound defensive

Dang girl, don't move with HIM!!!  He can't even help you move SOME of your things???  Talk about SELFISH!!!  Do you really want to be with/live with that type of person????  I hope not!!!  You deserve better than that, for real!!!  Keep your good job, but get rid of him!!!

If you are being understanding, no you are not being needy. If you sit and meditate on this, ask yourself if he's the right guy for you and do you want to spend your life with someone who treats you this way.

dont go !!!!!! i gave up my job and moved 1000 miles away, drove myself left my family we got married in 2003, then 3 weeks ago hes says he fell out of love with me 2 yrs ago and doesnt want to be married anymore. I drove back to texas that next day with nothing but 200 dollars and my car and 1 bag of clothing. living with sister now no job no nothing  stay where you are please!!!!!!!!
