Depends on what you mean by "you".
On peut aller à Tahiti en avion. -- People in general. Anyone, someone, they, we, you - an indefinite subject (in formal English, it's like: One can go...). Note that ON always replaces NOUS as a subject, to mean WE, in informal colloquial speech.
Vous pouvez aller --- speaking in a polite, formal way to any number of people, or speaking to more than one person in a familiar, casual way. Meaning literally YOU (not people in general).
Tu peux aller ... -- to one person in a familiar, casual way. Literally YOU (not people in general).

As a Native French person, I say it like that:
_ In a familiar way ( when we know a person well, or talking to a kid):
'' Tu peux aller à Tahiti en avion ''
_ In a formal way ( when we don't know someone well, or if they are many ( even if we don't know them well, since ' vous ' is the plural for ' tu '):
'' Vous pouvez aller à Tahiti en avion ''.
◘ Note: In ce context, you can replace ' en ' by: ' par ' ...
