This Brexit is proving a point we have all suspected hasn't it.? Democracy can't exist if minorities rule over the majority .?

More people in the UK voted for Brexit than have voted for anything else in the UK ever.
If the UK remains in the EU it will remain subject to laws that no elected official proposes and will be governed by several unelected EU presidents. (I forget how many presidents the EU has. ISTR it is about seven?)
How can remaining in the EU be Democratic when its organisation and operation is purposely undemocratic?

Huh? What minorities "rule over the majority" ?
No. If the EU had been democratic enough, the "remain"-camp would have won. If fearmongering demagogues hadn't scared people with fairytales about "mass" immigration, there wouldn't have even been a referendum. (in which BOTH sides resorted to lieing)

We are all ruled by the elites and they have the power to sway and steer which direction they want the politics to go.

The point is: Populism is a danger to democracy.
Right-wingers spread lies, morons believe them --> Trump, Brexit.

The Brexit referendum is the perfect example of why a true democracy cannot work. It showed that the majority of people are not well enough informed to make a reasoned decision on what is politically best for them.

Code for: Democracy will never exist in western society where the demographics are reversed, altered, or changed where white men are vilified.
