Please see this blog post for an explanation as to how we can have objective morality without a god--or even a goddess!

Yes, objective morality exists. Humans have a hard time understanding this because we are so used to basing our morality on religion, which in the past we believed to be objective, but we have come to realize is subjective. But it is possible for there to be morality based upon the greatest good of the group and not the teachings of any religion.

    Yes

Check the book The Moral Landscape by Sam Harris

"Human well-being is not a random phenomenon. It depends on many factors—ranging from genetics and neurobiology to sociology and economics. But, clearly, there are scientific truths to be known about how we can flourish in this world. Wherever we can act so as to have an impact on the well-being of others, questions of morality apply."

Yes, so far as it is in my best interest not to run around slaughtering people because people tend to fight back. So far, rational self-interest has aligned pretty much perfectly with modern morality. I would even go so far as to say that that's where modern morality is heading, as it moves farther and farther from the arbitrary guidelines set down thousands of years ago.

If it does, I wonder what it says about killing all the firstborn children of a country just because the ruler of said country was a jerk. Objectively moral? Y/N
