How do you setup a vb.net database to run on a Microsoft SBS 2003?
My problem is that I have helped develop a full blown web application in vb.net for a company. I want the app to be available online so that the user can log in and start entering data into the database. The company employs a small business to manage their server. I have asked for the app to be made available using a URL but the company have recommended accessing the dbase via remote desktop connection. Surely this is dangerous providing employees with access to the server where they have to locate a browser and enter a number like 127:192:1:6 etc.?
How easy is it to make a database application available on a server?

See first of all lots of the softwares are in comparison to minded with domicile windows VISTA....... merely verify whether the place of work is like minded tih VISTA or no longer!! yet extra useful use WIN Xp!! ITs da terrific!!.............
