Can you live and work in New Zealand if you have been declared bankrupt in the U.K?
I am considering declaring myself bankrupt and would like to live & work in New Zealand. I live in the U.K as a British Citizen and have a friend who has contacts out there who would be willing to provide accommodation. Can anyone help?

Not certain - check on the immigration site.
They may agree if your Friend will stand as Guarantor for you in New Zealand. They have to prove that they can support you, not just accommodation but general expenses, food travel etc.
It would be better if someone offered you a job out there and they can then do the application, together with your friends guarantee for accommodation during your stay.
Your bankrupt declaration may go against you. NZ like every other country want prove that you will not be a burden to the state and therefore are reliable to support yourself., with bankruptcy hanging over your head for 7 years will be difficult to prove
In any case you would have to explain to your executors how you have been able to afford the flight ticket to NZ.
