Carrots need to have loose, fertile soil that is free of rocks or other debris that can cause the roots to split. The depth of the planting medium should be at least one foot. Make sure there is good drainage; carrots do not grow well in soggy soil. Carrot seeds are very small, so you don't need a deep hole, just a shallow trench dragged out with a skewer or something. Drop the seeds in as thinly as you can. Water daily until the plants germinate, then water deeply, but infrequently. As they grow, pull out the smaller of any two carrots that are growing too closely together to prevent crowding, allowing the more vigorous plant to grow. Over time, you'll have baby carrots that will go great in your salad. Once carrots are two to three inches apart, you can let them grow and/or harvest as you see fit.

Get a deep pot, fill with a 50/50 combination of extremely solid soil and sand. Carrots do unlike too lots compost so use common backyard soil. Sow the seeds purely some mm aside approximately 5mm deep. stitch around the tip of Feb indoors and you will have the potential to %. between the carrots interior of a few weeks. As you %. between the carrots, you will enable greater suitable area for the others to advance. The thinnings are solid in salads. you could proceed to stitch carrots for some months for a non-quit crop. For the doubters, maximum veg prepare carrots are grown in pots

Plant them in a sunny location and wait. Thin them out after the plants get about 2 inches high. Harvest when the orange tops start to come out of the ground.

Carots are short day, cold weather plants. I would recommend Chantenay carrots since they are sweet and easy to grow.
