Not Ovulating!?
I was wondering if anyone else knew anything about this. I went to the doctor b/c I wasn't having periods (It is 5 mos. today since my last one). She prescribed Provera, but she said I didn't have to take get it then. I am kind of scared to take it because I have heard that your period is really painful and heavy after so many months of not having it. Should I take it? Also, I am kind of broke so I would need to borrow money from my mom (who also is broke) to be able to buy it. Or should I let nature run its course. By the way, I went to the doctor in October.
I am not worried about being preggo.

interesting to note i was reading up on the net last night about anovulation, in which case you are experiencing.
you can get hormones to restart your periods via hypothalamus to stimulate female sex hormone, estrogen.
other reasons for not ovulating are usually stress and a fear of pregnancy in which the woman body stop producing hormones to regulate her cycle.
some women dont ovulate but have their periods still, and even so their periods are lighter and shorter in duration or can come late or soon in that cycle.
personally i feel after coming off the pill in the last 4 mths i have not ovulated due to being scared of pregnancy again, but thats another story!
one way is to let nature take its course and start to destress things in your life and slow down. Not to rapidly lose weight or excessive running and a bad diet can contribute to anovulation and missed periods.
