  • Why does the skin absorbs liquids?

    From an evolutionnary point of view, why does the skin needs to absorb the liquids that stays on it for a while? I mean, we put oilments, creams and the skin absorb it and gets nourished but, in nature, there aren't any oilment or creams? What could possibly be needed for the skin to absorb? Rain? Why does it do it?

    Why did God sacrificed his only son? If he wanted to save us or something, shouldn't he just do it? Or shouldn't he sacrifice himself instead? Isn't that a little selfish and cruel to sacrifice his only son? Jesus didn't do anything to deserve being sacrificed, no?

  • Why do songs on TV sound like a tone or half a tone higher?

    I've noticed that when I hear a song that I know in a TV show, or in movies too, it will almost always sound at least half a tone higher than the real song when I heard it on the radio or on mp3.

    Do you know why? What happens in the process?

    Are you one of those that uses the Dominance, or Alpha Role training/educating methods, that believes you need to show your dog you are the alpha of the pack? Or are you one of those that uses only positive reinforcement, believing there is no such thing as dominance or alpha role and maintain a friendly relationship without any punishing?
