What is something new that you learned during quarantine?

That there are thousands of virtual tours of museums, attractions, cities, national parks and the like on line. Many of them are excellent.

I learned about betting on horse racing. Right before the lockdown started my two interlibrary loans came in and both books explained the ins and outs of horse racing. I thought of taking it up as a hobby but after reading about it I realized that serious horse race betting is a complex, calculated risk where most people end up on the losing end. So I guess I learned two things.

I have been busy catching up on projects that I have been meaning to do when I had the time. Before all the COVID stuff, I was learning how to sew and do tailoring. You would think I would have used the time to make some clothing, but I never got around to it. ;)

not to take things for granted, thinking you'll be able to go places and then theres nowhere to go

I learned to sit at home in the dark by myself for hours at a time. It has broken me free of the rat race called capitalism.

Now I don't even keep track of what day it is, or if it is night or day.

I really like this better than going to work.
