Are Los Angeles and San Diego really look alike?

I'm not an American but I heard LA and San Diego are very similar like a twin. Is that true

No, Los Angels and San Diego both are different from each other,. Los Angeles is big city than San Diego and offers more places to go ahead.

Wow, you managed to bring out all the LA haters.

Los Angeles is much bigger. It is more spread out. Unlike LA, you can visit many parts of San Diego by walking or taking public transit. LA is much too large to do that efficiently.

As for those who say San Diego is much nicer, that's bull. There are crappy areas in both cities. And for every nice suburb in San Diego, there are two just like it in LA.

So they are just different. Both have good and bad points.

Greater Los Angeles is a more vast metropolitan area since it includes all of Los Angeles County, Orange County, western Riverside County, southwestern San Bernardino County, & Ventura County. It is also more populated.

The San Diego - Tijuana Border Metropolitan Area includes all of San Diego County, the Tijuana municipality. the Rosarito municipality, & the Tecate municipality.

The dividing line between the Metropolitan Areas is the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base & the mountains that form the San Diego/Riverside County Line.

San Diego County is mostly conservative (except for the city of SD, Oceanside, & Escondido) & is highly influenced by the military. Most of the Greater Los Angeles area is mostly liberal.

    All major cities look similar.

However, most san Diego downtown can be viewed along the water.

It is smaller and easier to get around.

It is more like San Francisco.

Yes the landscape is basically the same. The only difference is LA has more people, more wealthy areas, more ghetto, more attractions, more traffic, more light rail, etc. Because LA is a much larger area I would say at least 5 times bigger. Each city has its own character, but they are very similar unlike San Francisco.
