Is Justin Timberlake overrated ?
Personally, i respect his class. But i find him very mediocre in skill as an average dancer, vocally fairly good, a spineless and bland music career because he spent more time at Hollywood and yet falls into the same discussions as Usher, Beyonce and even MJ. Very laid back and overrated in my opinion.

I think you're forgetting how big he was, when he was big. You mention MJ, after MJ's last #1 Single, You are not alone in 1995, he had a similar thing as Timberlake has now, he's alright, but won't score a #1 hit anymore, and people wondered why he was so worshiped in the years before.
At his peak though, anything, and everything Timberlake did, was golden, every other artist tried to sound, and look like him, that was 10 years ago though.
And that's the key difference to Usher, Usher was never a pop-star, he dominated the Soul/R&B charts, but he never truly broke into the pop-scene.
Beyonce is very pop of course, but she's still in that on-top moment, in 10 years it's very likely people will wonder if she wasn't over-rated.

I thought FutureSex/LoveSounds was truly great. Not many albums I'll say that about this decade. But I can't stand his acting or his personality.
