Why is it that when I look online for a dress for curvy women , it pulls up fat women instead?
So, I have a pretty skinny waste and a pretty big chest and butt for my height. I was blessed with a awesome hourglass shape not to mention I work out and eat healthy.
So I was online shopping for some nice dresses for curvy women and so many of them were displayed on women who were just straight up obese. Like that tess girl they had on people.
I'm all for loving your body at any size. But why is it that we mislabel things to protect peoples feelings? If you're fat with rolls for days then you are fat.
If I wanted to find a dress for someone obese, I should be typing in 2x + sizes

I think its because lots of times people like using the word "curvy" instead of plus size to make the women feel better but in reality curvy doesn't mean fat. This is curvy like beyonce

I completely understand what you're saying because I always have this problem buying pants and jeans because I always need a curvy size where the waist pulls in more than the hips but it always gives me sizes 14 and 16 and 18 when I wear a size 4/6.
The actual definition of curvy is having a waist-to-hip ratio of .75 or less. (Ex: if someone's waist is 26 inches and their hips are 37 inches. 26/37= 0.70, so they are considered curvy). A lot of people confuse curvy and think of it as a synonym for plus size. Try typing in dresses for hourglass figure.

All I can say is that there is definately a difference between curvy and obese. From my experiences with friends who are more on the chubbier side, they say they call themselves curvy to make themselves feel better about their bodies.
Society and media also has a part in this. The "perfect body" today is now stick-thin. Since skinny is in, any other body type is considered fat.
So stupid, I know right??

I don't like sugar coated nonsense, if I am fat I am fat.
There is a sex equality issue in this, the media Humphries calling Males fat but denounces calling Females fat.
That is Not equal.
