Would it be smart for two college football players competing for the same position to room in a dorm together?

This actually wont be too bad... Colorado- QB- Darian Hagan (Finished top 20 in the Heisman voting 3 straight seasons (89-91) and won a National title. Cant ask for much more.) RB- Rashaan Salaam (Heisman Winner, great college back) RB- Eric Bieniemy (Leader in just about every rushing category at CU) WR- Charles Johnson (Great WR, big guy who could do it all for the Buffs) WR- Michael Westbrook (Huge guy, great talent, but was a total bust in the NFL after being the #4 overall pick. Only had one good season in 1999) TE- Daniel Graham (Now a solid NFL player, won the Mackey Award while at CU)

It depends on the players. Some build each other up and the program is better for it. Other times it backfires. There's no hard and fast rule.

You can help each other get better and maybe become friends.
I'm currently in a 'positional battle' with another Halfback and we're friends.

Yes. They're practicing in the same group, going to the same meetings, and can learn from each other.
