Thoughts on Lydia?
I currently have Lydia Capri paired right now (Capri's a family middle name).
Everyone in my family keeps telling me how much they hate Lydia though. I think it's one of my favorite names. Do you hate it, like it? I really like the nicknames Lydie and Dia.

Well anyone who uses this site often knows that it's one of my favorites.
I don't understand why everyone doesn't love it . I like Lydie for a nickname or
Lia. Like Leah but with an ia that is already in the name .

I really like Lydia... and it's your child whose name you're choosing, plus you're already honouring family with 'Capri'. I would go for it! It's none of their business.

I like it. It is one of the few traditional names I like. I think it is a beautiful name. I like Lydie the best as a nickname. The name is starting to make a comeback. Maybe if you show your family that it is getting to be more common, they might change their opinion of the name.
