For TGV riders or anyone who knows the layout of the trains?

I'm looking at the schema de placement and am confused about where our seats are and if there is a second level. There is a warning sign and then the statement, " Chaque siege, possede une double numeration suivante le sense de la march du TGV". What does this mean? I want to select a seat in which I face front moving direction of the train as riding backwards may cause nausea. Thanks.

There are TGV with two layers.

It will depend on the actual train and its (I fear random) way to build up the train out of carriages whether you will be face forward or backward.

If you travel with someone, you might try to get two seats facing each other, so one of you will sit face forward all the time.

It is not the direction of travel that causes nausea, but your reaction on it. I find sitting face backward easier in a train, while I can not sit that way in a bus.

Source(s) : I have visited France, seen the double decker TGV but not used one.
