Does anyone know how to tint old eyeglasses at home?

I just got a new pair of eye glasses & I want to tint my old pair. The RX is the same, I just got a pair of no line bifocals.

Go back where you bought new lens and they can tint them for you.

Maybe even for free or $10 to $15 dollars.

They use a special dye heated to around 190degrees and lens holder.

Only plastic and tintable poly can be tinted.Glass have to be sent out and coated. They will let you know.

Not sure if this is a do-it-yourself kind of project. I'm thinking the tinting solution is something special for lenses (can't just use Magic Markers or food coloring). You could take them to wherever you usually get glasses and they can probably tint them. Note: if they are real glass lenses (not plastic), I don't think they can be tinted.
