How much net on a R1.2million/year salary?
On a base salary of R1.2 million per annum in South Africa, how much is left at the of the month, for a single individual?

Well, I think in south africa you are taxed to a max of 40 percent.
therefore, this is a decent salary, whether you will be taxed the max or not, im not sure, however, I rate you will be taxed very close to the max if not.
now, there are many things that are deducted before you get to your net salary...things like Pension fund, UIF, and medical aid still needs to go off...in addition to tax.
therefore, lets do a couple calcs here:
R1, 2 mill pa equals R 100 K per month.
therefore, if tax is at max, R 40 K will be deducted.
UIF is dependent, but lets say its R500 that will be deducted
Medical Aid,...also dependent, but lets say R4000 a month (since you are on a good package)
Pension fund....lets say around R3000.
therefore you will walk home with: R52 K - R 53 K a month.
these figures are obviously estimates, but sounds in the ball park for me.
