can I enter Israel if i am lebanese ?

Hello , I am lebanese residing in Lebanon , all we know that the borders between Lebanon and Israel is closed since the creation of Israel , but I am asking if I can enter Israel if I go to Jordan , and enter Israel from there to visit the Holy Places like the Holy Sepulcre and Nazareth .... Does anyone has an idea if that can happen , or I am forbidden to enter Israel in all ways ?

    Israel has no restrictions. They will do security checks. So if you haven't given money or associated with known terrorist groups, you'll be fine to enter.

    Problem: Lebanon has restrictions. Will they let you enter again? Several countries won't let you enter with the Israeli stamp on your passport. Israel will let you request the stamp done on separate paper, but your travel routes have to look like they didn't go though Israel to re-enter those countries. I know Syria is one, & I think Lebanon is another. Contact your state dept for foreign travel for it's regulations.

    To enter Israel (and you can fly in, might go more smoothly than land crossings), you will go through the same screening as everyone does. They ask a series of questions where the pt isn't the answers but your microexpressions to look for lying while you answer. It can seem annoying but it is for everyone. In some circumstances of high risk categories, such as picking up microexpressions, or young men from high risk areas, they'll pull aside and do a couple hours of questioning. Again, annoying but really not a big deal. They won't hurt you, just ask you the same things over and over. It doesn't happen often (there are 4 million tourists a year, plus business travelers including from the Middle East) & the airport gets everyone through each day. But it's a possibility.

    Official Israeli ministry of tourism site: http://www.goisrael.com/Tourism_Eng/Pages/home.asp...

    The visa section of that site links to the official ministry of foreign affairs, which lists Lebanon as requiring a Visa to visit Israel: http://www.goisrael.com/Tourism_Eng/Tourist%20Info...

    Heads up on this section of YA - has lots of trolls who's objective is putting down Israel. Most because of their hate of Jews. So there'll be a few answers like that, most likely.

    Lebanese citizens can enter Israel using their Lebanese passport.

    Also, if they didn't, pages like this about Passport requirements, that talk about not getting the passport stamp if going onto Arab countries -- would mention something about traveling to Israel!

    @Nabil

    Has never been to Israel. He's a Muslim who's said the Koran is a holy book for him. He regularly expresses support for Hizbollah. He uses a variety of identities on this site, with contradicting backstories, & likely lives in Mexico.

    Israel and Lebanon are formally at war. So you will not be able to enter Israel with Lebanese passport. If you have any other citizenship of a country that is not at war with Israel than you may enter Israel with that passport, but not as Lebanese citizen. The same goes for Israelis. Israeli passport holder may not enter Lebanon

    I'm sure you can find a legal way to do so, but generally it's difficult as Israel's and Lebanon's relationship is rather complicated.

    Generally, Israel isn't the one forbidding people to enter their country on the basis of nationality, but it is worth a shot. Perhaps you can contact the embassy in Jordan and see if they can do something for you - after all, I know of Iranians who go visit Israel, and given Israel's relationship with Iran, I'd not think that it's radically different than that of it's one with Lebanon.

    I went, and had the worst experience of my life, we as Lebanese are not used to racism, well there you'll experience it first hand, and get sick to your stomach, my advise is if you want to see the holy Sepulcre go ahead, avoid the Zionist as much as you can, and there is a mission for the Maronite Christians beside the Hebron Gate (ask your local priest about that they will give you better information than I could) watch out for the head nun she's an israeli agent, and don't get your passport stamped.

    This is my advise from a Lebanese to a Lebanese.

    I'm a Lebanese jew.
