Am I the only former Marine who carries 2 loaded pistols around the home?

I stay up (on duty) all night and pull security checks around our house and grounds every so often. I'm a former front-line combat Recon Platoon Sergeant. We were the first to arrive and set-up a 18 man front and just waited for the bad guys to show up. We shot "every" thing that moved until N.A.T.O. sent in back-up troops. We took a vote to fight to the last man.

For those of you who think all of this is a joke... I'm loaded with rounds of ammo that cost over $3.00 each and travel over 1,700 f.p.s., and I'm saving up for the 3,000+ f.p.s. rounds. So you just keep on laughing and making your little plans to come on our property or break into our home... I'm ready.

Most people, even when shot with a .22 cal, will retreat. Don't waste your money on t-rex rounds.

If you can't do it with a bog standard Glock or Beretta 9mm I wonder what difference a 3000 fps round will make.

Knowing American construction, even if you hit someone you're still likely to also take out Mrs. Tannenbaum who lives across the street from you

Thank you.During British India regime , there was an Inspector General of Police in Bengal area of India. He used to carry two loaded pistols on both sides of waist to remain alert against fighters of Indian independence.Once a small hand bomb blast smashed him finally-- not to be able to use two pistols.

I appreciate your alertness but miscreants are intelligent too.So , dont rely on pistols only , apply your brain to gather information also.

Why two pistols? You can get at least two magazines of ammo for the mass penalty of that extra pistol.

Seriously though. Leave the job at work. Keep your gun for home defense, but perimeter checks and a duty watch at your residence is bordering on insane.

    Only 2?

  • lol.

    you're a joke, even if you're saying you're not

recon marines go and find the enemy, COD gamers camp in the middle of desert waiting for enemy to come.

you're the first person bothered with increasing his weapons muzzle speed / using underlaborated ammo for real life situations.

if you're so obsessed with muzzle speed, you should buy a laser rifle. for personal defense, you need the stop effect, and that is better measured in means of impact energy. at pistol range, meaning the bigger bullet wins.

No. Traditionally, lots of Hells Angels used to be in the marines and some of those have to carry guns for business reasons.

So what my hubby has five AK's and enough ammo to supply a unit. We also have a year supply of food! A friend we know has over 50 weapons!

Nope, you just need to move if your family needs that much protection where they are. Get out of the city so that you can stand down for a minute. No, really.
