That research merely suggests further research. There exists a body of recent studies that suggest that moderate amounts of beer are good for you. Moderate, in that one 12-ounce beer a day is all a woman should have and a man should drink no more than twice that. In actuality, anything you put in your mouth can be shown to cause ill effects under certain circumstances. Life itself is a terminal condition, so you might as well come out from under that rock and live!

I would think it would be wise to stop drinking if one wants to have a long and healthy life. With cancer rates nearing 50% in western countries, avoiding the big cancer causing substances and activities and taking up healthy ones instead is very prudent. I am thinking more and more of giving up drinking for good. I value my health more than a good beer.

Leaving aside the confusing and ungrammatical construction of your question (do you mean "one" - a person of either sex" or do you mean "a man"?) I would suggest that this research, like most similar research says nothing to dispel the finding of other research that give details of the many benefits of alcohol.
