How do I get my blue nose pit bull puppy to stop nipping at my slippers?
Please, no third degree burns on my choice of dog. Please, no unwanted advice. Please, no rude comments. Thank you.
I only added the specific type of puppy it is in case that has something to do with his nipping or in case you have to handle this type of dog a certain way when it comes to nipping. This is new to me. I have been reading books and doing research online. I have talked to the vet and employees at PetSmart. I have heard their insight but I just thought that maybe someone out there has this exact type of dog and can lend some advice. Geez.

If you don't want people to burn you about the breed of your dog...why mention the breed. It has nothing to do with your problem. All puppies nip not just certain breeds. The color of your dog's nose is irrelevant too.
It sounds like it is time for obedience classes, training, exercise and socialization.

First of all, I cannot believe some of the horrible answers I am reading. Pit Bulls are bred to be vicious? Yes, if they come from a fighting line but if your dog comes from a line that cares about the breed then no. And I cannot believe some people suggested aggressive behavior. If you want a family friendly dog then you cannot show aggressive behavior toward the dog. Your puppy is expressing normal puppy behavior. She is teething and she is testing how much she can get away with. Now is the perfect time for POSITIVE reinforcement training. It is important you do this before baby comes. Enroll in a certified training program and tell your trainer you are most concerned about the baby and puppy nipping. If a puppy nips your scream OWW loudly. Let your dog sniff baby items and play sounds of baby cries so that by the time your baby arrives she will be use to it. After your baby arrives put aside a little time to spend with your dog so she does not get jealous. Remember there are different training methods but expressing aggression toward a dog you want to be part of the family is never a good idea.

Buy some puppy treats and a tasty bone you think he'll love.
Give him the bone where he sleeps. He'll stay there with his bone for a while and when he gets your slippers again, that's when you train him "no more" and when he does good that's where the puppy treats come in from :-)
To be honest it'll take time to train him so whatever you do be patient and don't yell at him. If you need more help or info checkout YouTube, petco, or some books from library.

Pet Smart is an awesome place to get training advice.
They have the most qualified trainers.
I would just keep listening to them and do what they say.
You might want to ask your Pet Smart trainer how many working titles they have put on a dog and how many working titles their students have put on dogs, if their answer is ZERO, perhaps its time to find a real dog trainer.
Go to the AKC website and find a local obedience club.

Blue Nose only reflects the "COLOR" of your dog the type is Pit Bull. And as for nipping that is something all puppies do. It is up to you or whom ever is training to train him/her not to nip/bite

say no in a firm but not over-aggressive voice when he does something wrong. don't yell or hit it
