Should we even trust the FDA? Considering all the suicides and recalls and discontinues?

There have been so many numerous deaths and illnesses related to prescriptions that the fda has approved. This isn't right. The folks who are giving the okay to these drugs are killing our people. Also, drugs that help cure cancer can only be purchased in Canada and other countries, but not here in our own country? That is a blatant slap in the face and just goes to show that the FDA doesn't care about us. They only care about our money and will convince us that spending thousands of dollars on medicine that can possibly fix one problem and definitely causes ten more new problems is better than approving a surefire way to simply cure the disease. Gimme a break! Most of these medicines are usually lethal, especially when taking regularly over time. All the risks and side effects are out of control and I remember growing up when they didn't even advertise things like this. What can we do to stop this madness and save our family and friends from harms way and sudden death from drugs approved by the fda?

Medicine isn't perfect and it probably never will be. But I'd take the FDA over what happened before when food companies put rats in sausage and didn't safety test anything.

Bush gutted the FDA and it's power. Republican budget proposals slash their budget.

They just need a better mandate and more money.
