Moth plague in the house?

Moths starting to eat my woolen carpet under the sofa, small little buggers.

Only my carpet so far and not in any food or elsewhere.

Any idea to get rid of them in a friendly way?

Don't want to use/spray any poison.

Brgds

the moth species (their caterpillar) that attack fabric will never attack your pantry foods, but can move to other fabrics that came from animal..wool, silk, etc Steam cleaning will get them for you, though you need to make sure the process is really steam and not almost as hot as steam.

The moths under the sofa can be sucked up with the vacuum cleaner. A container with some soapy water in it sitting under a light will drown in the soapy water. A moth is drawn to light.
