What does this sentence mean?
It is part of a question posted on Yahoo! Answers over a year ago. In his question the Yahoo! Answers user invoked me, almost like a deity, and asked me to help him with a problem involving a girl in his class. The line that puzzles me is as follows:
"We left and gathered several times now. how many times should it happen before she accepts?"
"What does "gathered" mean?

I'm thinking that he says that he gave her space as you suggested, but that he tried again without success. When he's using "gathered" he's really saying that he's tried again.

I believe hes trying to say not come back together, but merely we have like split and gotten back into said relationship.
