2 to 3 cm dialating?
I'm 38 weeks and 2 days pregnant, no hard contractions, my mucus plug is coming out little by little, how soon would I go into labor?

It could be today and it could be weeks from now. Dilation is not an indicator of when labor will start, it is simply your body showing that things are progressing as they should. With my second pregnancy I was 3 CM dilated at 37 weeks and lost pieces of my mucous plug between 37-38 weeks and my water broke and I went into labor at 40 weeks, 3 days. Our doctor's just torture us with giving us the information about how far dilated our cervix is! One good thing though is that they baby moving down is what dilates the cervix so it shows that your baby is in the right position for labor any time now! Any time in the next 4 weeks. Sorry.
I lost my plug a week ago, and I'm 3-4cm dilated, baby is fully engaged and has been for over a week now, but she's still not here. Its just a waiting game.

only 2 to 3 cm?? You can walk around for 2 or 3 weeks like that...(mom of five)
