Where can I hear French people talk?
I'm taking French at school. I'm pretty good at it. I can read French, write it, and speak it. I just can't understand it when the French speak it. Or at least, I don't think I can. I don't really know. I have no way to practice. My teacher suggested that I listen to a French radio station, but I don't know where I could find one, because most online radio stations play all the music and none of the talking. What do you think I should do?
xD "go to france..."

Listen to Radio France international. You can also read on this site, so this will be helpful as well. Your teacher is giving you good advice. Also, congratulations for your desire to learn!!
I learned a lot of my English listening to radio.

No fascinating content in my opinion, but at least you'll hear french people talk (although there are a few musical breaks from time to time), as opposed to hearing American music on basically any other french radio station.

There are certain to be some French language DVDs in your local library. Also you might want to look for online talk radio stations. I think that the Opera web browser has a French localised speech module, which could be good.

Look up french clubs online in your area. You never know there may be an club you can join. Or try a french restaurant. If it's a good one the servers may speak french. Good Luck
