When and where do marines deploy from?
My brother is being deployed to Afghanistan next month and i was wondering how early/late do they leave in the day (ex. midnight, noon, etc.) and from where do they leave from ( ex. airports, military bases).
Also can family members have visiting time the day they do leave, if so, for how long?

First that is complete OP SEC however yes they leave at all times of the day and they also leave from both airports and military bases. I have always been able to spend time with my husband the day he leaves right up to the point he gets on the bus and the bus pulls off.

They can leave anytime of the day and once they get on the bus at their duty station that is it for family time. You don't get to watch them fly off. I do remember vividly waving goodbye from the bus window when I deployed to Iraq. He will leave from his base on a bus and get on a plane elsewhere, for me, it was another army base that I flew out from but family could not go there. I had about a couple hours of visiting time before I got on the buses but we got delayed. There is a lot of IFs when it comes to that stuff.
