If my contract mobile has become faulty who is responsible for repair?

I have an 18 month contract with Vodafone through Phones4u (of which I am about 11 months into) and my Nokia 6300 has become faulty and will not load up properly.

I do not have insurance on the phone so what should I do?

If your phone is under 12 months old you can take it back to phones4u and have it sent off for repair (they may charge you an admin fee)...after 12 months provided you have a proof of purchase you can send it directly to the manufacturer as most warantees now last for up to 24 months. (best to check with Nokia) They are legally obliged to repair or replace the handset.

    Hope this helps =)

As you did not purchase your phone directly through Vodafone they are not responsible for repairing your faulty phone but phones4u are, as it's a nokia then it has a 2 year warranty and your repair will be free of charge

If you did not have insurance there is not much you can do. If you bought the phone new you could check to see if it is still under warranty which I doubt. The average life span of most phones are about 1-2 years. I think your best bet is to buy another phone and put insurance on it. You could possibly buy a new or refurbished phone that works with the network your on at a very reasonable price. Just look for a phone you like make sure it says unlocked and is compatible with your network.

call vodafone as they are your network provider and as the phone is still in warranty it shouldn't cost anything
