à la place, tu pourrais dire:
As I am not a US resident,
ou encore: As I live in France, ...

pourrait devenir:
I would like to know if there is a possibility to ship this object in France, and if there is, what would be the total cost?
ou encore:
I would like to know if you could ship the item in France, and if yes, what would be the cost?
