What gifts can I bring to Indian co-workers ?

I'm going for the first time to Mumbai, India, on a business trip. I'd like to bring some gifts to the local staff, who are mostly new employees. Living in Switzerland, I thought swiss chocolate might be well perceived.

Well Pakistan is like India, so whenever I visit there, we bring candies and chocolates, like big bags full of them, to our families. I don't know if this is something you do for people you are well aquainted with, but the candy from the USA, and probably Switzerland also, is way better than the candy there. You can give scarves...maybe things that are unique in your country and might not be present in inda....this is tough cause the workers are probably mostly males huh? OH perfume/cologne. Sorry, don't know if I have helped at all cause you're giving these gifts to staff, not people you know like friends and stuff, so it's a bit difficult to decide.

The best thing to get anyone living abroad is to get them something that reflects your country or the country you are living in.

So YES swiss chocolate would be great and try to have it wrapped in a nice way .

that's a lovely idea. its actually part of their culture for a newcomer to bring presents when you're coming to their home (in your case, meeting and working with them) for the first time. chocolate is a safe bet coz many religions are practiced in india (so no danger of inadvertently offending anyone) and its very symbolic of your own country.

choclates are fine.even cosmetics are a good choice.if u wanna really impress someone a perfume works well.
