and said hello or tapped them on the shoulder only to find it isn't who you thought and it's a complete stranger.

I have done that tons of times!!! Once I was looking for my dad in the mall and I saw this one guy and i gave him a hug and then i found out it wasn't my dad it was some random stranger. My face was completely red! I hope I never do anything like that again!!!

yes all the time- the worst one was when i was a little girl and was lost and thought i saw my dad in the shopping isle and ran up and jumped on his back yelling "DADDY! DADDY!" to have him push me off and reveal he was a total stranger- I ran away. Oops. Luckily i did find my real dad in the end and he explained to the guy.

I have had many people mistake me for someone else before. I was at the store and had like a two minute conversation with a lady who seemed to know me but I didn't know her. I didn't want to be rude finally she was like figured out I wasn't who she thought I was.

I have actually. (: Thought some other guy was my boyfriend, tapped him on the shoulder and said. "Hi sweetie." and he goes. "Hey baby, want to go back to my place?" Granted I ran the other way. xD

Yes this person in the mall looked exatly like my bff from the back and i said hey and the person turned around and saidwho are you. I was like oooooh.

Yes - I once walked up to some who i thought was my mate and shouted: Ginger Tosser at him as a joke.

I gave what i thought was my brother a friendly kick in the bottom when I saw him standing outside a shop! I was full of apologies! haha! It still makes me smile thinking about it !

My cousin has. She wears glasses and on this day she did not have them on. There is a guy who really looks like a cousin of ours. I mean he really could be his twin, Anyway, My cuz thought this guy was our cousin and she ran up to him and jumped on him. Just so you know..he did not catch her. What a moment for her when she saw that guy was not our cousin. So yes, it happens.
