who thinks this is stupid?

It's the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Thats like when people say do your own homework. It's stupid so when people answer like that I say whatever who cares. It's not like it hurts my feelings.

just because you see other people doing it doesn't make it right, it's not an answer, the same way yes/no/idk aren't. If you have nothing to add to a question maybe it's better to leave it alone and move on to a question you can contribute to because answers like 2 points will be perceived as point gaming

that is pretty stupid, i see answers like that all the time. where people dont answer and then just put "thank's for the two points"

Yes, lots of people do it -- that doesn't make it right -- sorry, but that is considered "point gaming" since you did not give a real answer. Sometimes you get the bear -- sometimes the bear gets you!

I usually give a slightly longer answer ("right you are if you think you are."), so if i get a report, I can defend myself better

Leave a stupid answer and THEN write "2 points"... otherwise YA sees it as "point grabbing" or something like that.
