women in Shakespeare's Julius Cesare?
There are only two women in Julius Cesare, is this the least number of women in a Shakespeare play or close to it at all?
I understand that women were not allowed to be actors back then, I am just wondering how many women characters were in other shakespeare plays. So if the Tempest is the least, where does julius cesare fit on the scale?

Timon of Athens is a proud rival. In sharp contrast to Shakespeare's other plays, women appear only twice here: in act 1 a few women dance and play musical instruments, but never speak; then, towards the end of the play, two courtesans appear and speak six lines between them. At least in The Tempest the one woman had a star role! And even in Julius Caesar there are a few proper speaking parts!

initiate with the help of getting to entice close the historic past. Shakespeare depending the play on historic activities and until eventually you're acquainted with the mandatory gamers and the skill conflict that got here earlier and after the activities of the play you gained't have a threat of comprehend-how Shakespeare's statement on and interpretation of Julius Caesar.

There is only 1 women in "The Tempest." Part of the problem is that boys played the part of women during Shakespeare's time, and there was only a limited number of boys able to play women's parts.
