I've been sent some audio files by e-mail via WeTransfer, and they're in the format ".rar", which I'm guessing is some sort of compression similar to ".zip". None of my media players knows what to do with them. Does anyone know whether I need to download a decompression program, or is there a media player I can download that will decompress and play the files? I need to access these files for my work. Thanks in advance.

They never seem to be juicy and just come off the bone for me, I heard that the trick is to boil them for some time before putting them in the oven, has anyone heard of this, or better still tried it with good results? If so, could you tell me how long you boil for, then how long to roast at what temperature, I would be so very grateful.

I'm throwing a dinner party tonight for four people (myself included) as special thanks for doing me a really big favour, but I don't have a whole load of cash in my pocket. I was thinking a seafood or fish starter, meat or chicken main course and fruit based dessert. I've got to teach four hours of classes this afternoon and don't have time to plan a menu. Any ideas or suggestions will be gratefully received, advice that I end up taking will earn you 10 points!

I have a Sony VAIO laptop which was bought in Washington airport with a standard US English keyboard. My problem is that I often have to type in Spanish, so I need the 'n' with the '~' on top, or vowels with accents, or the upside-down question and exclamation marks. At the moment I'm having to copy and paste each symbol when needed from a separate document, which is time consuming and has a negative effect on my efficiency and productivity, which being self-employed, I can ill afford. Can I assign symbols to the F keys, for instance? And if so, how?

I've been on my own for six and a half years now, since I got divorced, and I find that I'm feeling sorry for myself, especially when I see friends and acquaintances all enjoying loving relationships and enjoying the support of wives/husbands/partners. I have a nine-year-old daughter who I love enormously, am I just being childish, selfish and lame wanting more than the love of my cherished little girl? I mean, no 'romance' can match the intensity of feeling I have for her, which is normal, healthy and natural, before any sickoes feel the urge to make debasing comments.

I'm a 42 year-old English guy living in Ibiza, and this year work has been very hard to come by due to the economical crisis and I've run out of money. I have to leave my lodgings this coming weekend. I was going to help an acquaintance open and run a cafe-bar and we'd planned to flat share. He was putting up the capital and I was going to pay him rent with my wages from the work I'd put into managing the business, it was ideal. Today he tells me he's changed his mind and that he's moving to Barcelona. So as from tomorrow I'm flat broke and homeless.

My family dilemma is: should I tell my family back home about my predicament? They're not really in a financial position to be able to help me and I don't want them all worrying about me. Sleeping rough in Ibiza in summer isn't such a big deal, the climate is great for it, but at this time of year the nights are cold and very humid and I know it's going to be horrible, I'm dreading it.

I'd hate to have to leave the island because I have a six year-old daughter here who lives with my ex-wife, and being off the island would mean not seeing her for ages and probably missing christmas with her as well, which would break my heart and hers as well. This is causing me an enormous amount of anxiety and depression.

Should I phone home and tell my folks, or spare them the worry, what are your views?
