Retired for some time. very active, Computer is use daily, still have a great interest in metal detecting, a lot more house work has come my way, Daughter and grand children keep me on my toes, only the last few weeks I have taken on answering questions, great for the brain.

  • Catching mice?

    I have mice underneath the house doing a lot of damage.

    I`ve had a few catches using the mouse trap, but thought I would use bait in the open tray, next day the poison was still in the tray, but was piled high with bits of sticks and rubbish.

    Over a week went by with this happening, so I thought I would use the covered sort, with the holes either end.

    Checked this morning, and guess what, it`s completely filled up inside with bits of wood, and piled high on the outside of the holes, including empty snail shells on both ends.

    Whats going on?.

  • Antibiotics Use?

    My Wife had a knee replacment, all went well for a couple of months, then on the end of the scar above the knee, it turned an odd colour and burst.

    An operation to enlarge the wound by her doctor was done to drain and plug with material.

    We are now eleven months on, and already has had seven courses of Antibiotics, and the wound is still as large as an old penny.

    My question is , what are the long term affects of continual use of Antibiotics.
