When trying to open the video attachments sent via email to my mailbox, it doesn't show up the attachment... it just says it has been removed. The videos are being sent in the same format as the phone does itself, and it send them out just fine. Just won't open any of them. I can open image attachments just fine through the mailbox, but not video ones...? Any ideas?

I am going on holiday to Scarborugh soon so am looking for things to do whilst im there. I had been planning to go to Atlantis - the outdoor pool, but heard this has closed. I am really hoping to find another outdoor pool in the area, maybe further away - Bridlington perhaps? But I cannot find anything on the web so hoping local people can tell me where to go for outdoor swimming (apart from the sea!)

Aswell as wanting to find an outdoor pool, any other ideas of fun things to see/do while im there? I'm aware of Peasholme boating lake, any more things like that? Or just general things people would recommend me to do whilst on holiday there?

On startup, my laptop displays the following messages, it say 'SmpSys.exe has stopped working,' it closes the pop up message, then comes up with 'Google Desktop has stopped working, a problem caused the programme to stop working properly.' I also get the error message 'The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)'

I'm not trying to start up any programmes when these messages come up, it does it as soon as it starts up.

Searching the net has not helped any. I have tried unistalling GoogleToolbar and GoogleDesktop, but it won't, i get the message, 'PC content management has stopped working' So they won't uninstall.

I sometimes get the message 'Google Desktop did not startup successfully, press ok'

Didn't even want anything to do with google, it came with the computer.

There is no viruses, (or that i can do anythig about) Norton has chacked, and found nothing.

System Restore also will not work because of an 'unspecified problem'

Can anyone help?

I have Mozilla Firefox, and had no problems with it but now it has just stopped working properly. Eg, I try to search on yahoo or google, any webpage, and when i type in something and press Enter for it to search it doesn't do anything. If i click the search button it doesn't do anything either. I cannot sign into emails on it because pressing enter or clicking sign in does nothing. It just stays on the screen as if i hadn't typed anything. I cannot get any button or anything to function, but pages still display, its just getting pages to accept i am clicking on buttons or pressing enter!

On Yahoo Answers page, if I clicked the preview button you have to press when typing a question, nothing happens at all.

Right now I am using Internet explorer, which has no problems and is working just fine. Can anyone help??

I have a pc with netgear modem which connects the main computer to the internet. I have just bought a packard bell easynote laptop and am trying to set it up so it can go on the internet wirelessly, from the internet connection on the main pc. I set up a wireless conection on the main pc, and got a WEP network key, etc, put them on USB Stick, and set this up on laptop. It said everything was all set up, but laptop still won't connect. It says it 'is connected to Netgear but does not have access to the internet' Suggestions are an incorrect WEP or low signal strength, but the network key is definately correct, and the signal says excellent. I have run out of ideas and am not very technically minded so any sugestions/help at all will be greatly received!

Last night, my internet was working fine. I had AVG anti virus, but after hearing bad things about it, i uninstalled it, & replaced it with McAfee 30 day trial. Installed it all, had to restart the comp and afterwards, i couldn't connect to the internet. Spent 3 or so hours trying all troubleshooters/help guides etc but still couldn't connect to Internet. Got various error messages such as 'Runtime Error 10022 - Socket not bound, invalid address or listen in not invoked prior to accept' 'Machine appears to have invalid IP address'.

Don't know what any of this means, so after restarting no less than 20 times, trying AOL connection fix-its etc, nothing was connecting me to Net so decided to uninsall the McAfee anti-virus, restarted and then it was fine, went straight onto internet, although now with no virus protection.

Tried another virus protecter, Avast, same thing happened. Working anti-virus but no internet?

So I cannot get both Internet and anti-virus! Argh, help me??

I drove past a town the other day but didnt get to see any signs with the name on. Its close to Mablethorpe and I do remember there was a costcutter shop and post office, not a lot to go on i know, im sure many places have, but im hoping someone will know where im talking about. There was also a hotel/ b&b called *something* and cleaver. could have been air or axe? Axe and cleaver makes more sense, but not sure of the exact name, just remember passing it. Looking up the hotel on the net hasnt really got me any closer to finding out what this place was. Anyone know the town/village im talking about?

How much would it cost to phone someone in Italy? i have BT landline. To an italy landline, approx how much would this cost me, like to ring a hotel/payphone there? A price checked says it'l cost me about £1 for every ten mins i ring italy, but this seems cheap for abroad, is it correct? ive never had to ring international before so any help on approx pricing would be helpful? also any ideas on prices of ringing a person in Italy on a mobile from my BT landline, i realise would be more expensive, but how much(approx)? thanks in advance!

i just downloaded the free trial of adobe photoshop cs2, but it crashes on start up. i can open it, but cant do anything else because as soon as i click, it goes to not responding. if anyone can please help?

i just bought the driving test success all tests pc/dvd, which says it includes a digital version of the highway code in it, where you can view, search and print... but i cant find this anywhere in any of the options! can somebody who has it tell me where it is found on the options please? thanks!

ive just downloaded this new windows live messenger, and its a lot different to my other msn that i had. ive noticed it has quite a few diff features too, but ive read a few things about it on the net, which are putting me off...

any one care to share their opinions/experiences about it? id rather people tell me themselves, rather than offer me a link to a site thanks.

i also cant seem to see others display pics in the main window, is this normal? and different ppls convo windows arnt seperate colours anymore? is this just a normal result of the new messenger?

i am thinkin of having my tongue pierced, but i have quite a few fillings in my mouth, and have heard that getting it done will be the same as like putting tin foil on your fillings, and may get an electric shock type thing? is this true, and if so is there any possible way i could still have it done?

also, just any advice anyone has? and good/bad experiences? do people think it is worth having done? any advice for the type of bar i should have it done with(if i do?), any aftercare advice?

i have a card reader, which i can put a memory card in and get photos from it, onto the computer. but my comp doesn't acknowledge that i put it in. normally a light comes on, then a folder opens, but now nothing happens? can any one help fix this??

i used to be able to burn dvds to dvd-rw discs, using nero smartstart. but now, if i try to burn certain films, that are avi type, it comes up with an error message, something about mpeg 4 decoding, can't remember exactly what it says. does anyone know what happened, why it just suddenly stopped burning, and what i can do to get it to burn again? preferably without me having to pay out a lot of money? thanks in advance.

when the computer is connected to the internet, it gets really loud, and i'm not sure why it does this. It also gets louder when new programs are opened up. Sometimes it is even noisy when just one thing is open, or with only one internet browser. Can anyone help as to why it goes so noisy, and offer any suggestions to quieten it down a little? thanks in advance!

the clock on my ipod nano tells me the wrong time, im in england, and if i set it to london time, its like hours out. so i have to set it to los angeles time to get the time it actually is in england. does anyone know how i can change this?
