Okay I am about 3 episodes in and this confuses me. Dan leaves Luke’s mom and Luke behind to chase after college basketball. Then we find Luke and Nathan on the same Varsity basketball team and same English class. 

How long between leaving Luke’s mom, did Dan return home work at/own the lucrative dealership, and marry/knock up someone else up to produce Nathan? Does this timeline ever get answered? More importantly are these brothers the same age/grade, if yes what age/grade is it? If not please tell how old they are supposed to be. 

Also any guesses as to when it will come, and/or how long it will last?

The business did not buy them, nor did an owner trade an asset for higher portion of capital... I mean I assume Gordon Ramsay/Production Company doesn't get a portion of the business for renovating the restaurant, this isn't the first season of Shark Tank.

Does the business just list the new assets with a basis of $0.00? I ask because when a person wins a prize on a game show they have to pay taxes on the prizes they keep... so would these businesses have to pay tax on FMV of the gifts they recieve as non operating-income as well?

Do they just realize the gain for whatever they end up selling these gifts and/or the business as a whole and have it factor into to any profit on the sale?

I could probably take 90 minutes bouncing around the IRS website to find out, but I thought maybe someone could point me in the right direction, or provide me with an answer.

I am not talking about supreme court ruling says so. I am not talking about worst case scenarios of rape, incest, etc. induced pregnancies.

I want to know why a hypothetical woman of any age who is not raped by any definition of the word, who is not drunk, not high, no condoms were broken or even used, she is not on any contraceptive of her own, knows the potential consequences of unprotected sex, but decides to go ahead and do it anyway. When she finds out she is pregnant, for whatever reason, she does not wish to carry the pregnancy to term. This pregnancy that came as a result of choices she made out of her own free will.

Why she should be able to legally get an abortion? I am interested to hear opinions, and hoping for something little more detailed than just my body my choice. If you honestly belief she should not be able to please feel free to chime in as well, but please at least a little more than just the catch phrase response.

I am looking for a new laptop, I figured if I was going to move out of Windows 7 to Windows 8, I might as well go for a touchscreen. I am looking for that 14 or 15 inch touch screen. i am 6'5" with large hands even if I end up with a Windows 7 non-touch screen it is still going to be 14-15 inches.

Here is the context if that helps:

"I have this little silk bag. In it are three cards. One of them is green on both sides. Another one is red on both sides. And the third is red on one side and green on the other.

For the federal taxes, I was wondering if under the other tax line on Schedule A for Form 1040 (or anywhere else for that matter) If I can deduct these expenses:

Can take the fee I paid to get my licence renewed as a deductible expense? Also can I take a state gas tax, I have documentation to show that I paid, as a deduction?

I am going through my expenses and I know I can itemize my mortgage interest, my state income taxes that I pay, and that I can also take my real estate taxes. I was just wondering if I could take those under the other line.

I read a headline of an article that said that the person had "apparently died from a suicide attempt." It came across my mind, once the person died it was no longer an attempt. The person did not die from a suicide attempt but died because he committed suicide. My thinking being that death no longer made it an attempt. Correct me if I am wrong but I was wondering proper word usage.

BBC and Skysports are both reporting that Stan Kronke has bought out Bracewell-Smith and Fizman to bring his stakes up to over 60 percent. When this is officially announced it will bring about a required offer to buy all remaining shares at whatever price he bought this last bunch for. Thoughts on this not to surprising but interestingly timed takeover. What do you see as the next steps and/or any thoughts at all.

I was interested in the article to find out what was going on and the only quote that we have is that the selling of Lady Bracewell-Smith's shares was not likely to be immanent. I started to wonder how this counted as news then. But then I finally realized when I read the final paragraph, that this happens the same day that we will learn if Stan will sell his stake in his last place American Football team the St. Louis Rams and free up a lot of capital that could be used to buy her shares.

Otherwise this isn't news, it would be if you got a quote from Lady, or a quote from her husband saying the sale is imminent but you don't, all you have is that she is now have a realitor sell her house (Arsenal shares) instead of trying to do it herself, we already knew since she left the board a year or 2 ago that she was looking to sell her shares since then. This is barely news.

We all should know by now that:

1 Chelsea will qualify for the Champions League next year,

2 Portsmouth win or lose the cup final haven't applied for the necessary licenses to play in Europe next year.

So my question is do we treat this spot as if 2 Champions league qualifiers are in the final and give the spot to team in the Premier league that is 1 below the current cut off for Europa qualification? Or does this spot remain Portsmouth but whoever draws them gets a forfeit win, or something else happens to the spot? Does anyone know?
