It's great that plant and seed places will tell you to start your seeds indoors 6 weeks before the last frost. But does anyone know when they're predicting the last possible frost date for SE PA and Zone 6?

to take to a new doctor that you're trying to get a second opinion from? If I call the first specialist (the one I've been seeing for a couple months but cannot seem to give me a diagnosis) and ask him to send copies of all the test results, etc. to another doctor, will it get done or does he have the right to be angry or refuse? Could I ask him to send them to me so I can forward them to the new guy? The new doctor is not someone that the current doctor recommended and none of these folks are my primary care guy. I just want the new dr. to have all available information so I can get cured!

I've got a bad cold and all I want to do is go home and go to bed and sleep for the entire weekend. But I've got a couple hours of work to do and we've got friends coming for dinner tonight. I've told them I'm not feeling well but hubby's looking forward to his new recipe, etc. and I don't want to be the party-pooper.

Mine are in their mid/late 20's and have never so much as acknowledged my presents much less bought anything for me or my sister who give them gifts every year. Their dad, my brother, is very well off and can afford to give them anything their hearts desire (and has). My sis and I are thinking it's time to send a card, wish them a happy holiday and leave it at that. I love them dearly but my little gift ain't going to amount to much in the grand scheme of their lives anyway. Am I a scrooge?

If I got invited to see the Symphony perform Vivaldi's Four Seasons, how long should I expect to be in the theatre? Is it an hour? 2? More? Less?

I asked for and got a pair of inexpensive (trial) ones for Christmas and am going with some friends to Vail in a couple weeks. I'd like to give some kind of winter activity (besides the usual hibernation) a try. Do I pack the snow shoes or the fake cast and bottle of rum drink?

I'd been hearing lately that red wine was so much better for you than white wine. I actually have a friend who, as she puts it, moved on over to the dark side and started drinking red although she preferred white.
