Has any Elite Gymnast ever won Gold in the all around and gold in all 4 event finals? If not, whats the nearest anyone has ever come?

  • What do I need to enter Canada?

I'm a British citizen hoping to visit Canada for a week in the spring. I've been reading up on entry requirements and it says I will need to "convince an immigration officer I have ties to my home country and can support myself with enough funds". What does this mean? Would I need to take a copy of my work schedule to prove I have a job I need to return to? Would a return flight ticket be enough? Do they really check your money or just if they suspect your story? I fully plan on returning home after my visit, but I don't want to be put on the first plane back to London because I can't prove it.

  • Terrified to get on a plane?

I've flown before, only 3 times (4 hour, 8 hour and 2 hour flights). All were uneventful except the first one. That one started to taxi down the runway, stopped and all passengers were taken off for a while. Then they fixed whatever was wrong and then we had an uneventful flight home.

Now I have to do another 8 hour flight soon to visit family. I am terrified, and I don't know where this fear has come from. I think a) because it's a new airline for me to fly(a European one going into US Airspace, so most likely perfectly safe) and b) because I can't help but recall every possible news story from the past 10 years. I have anxiety issues also.

I KNOW that statistically it's safe. Rationally, I know this, but there is always that small %, that is what is getting me so scared. And I am terrified of flying over the Atlantic. All I can think of is the plane catching fire somewhere in the middle of it or we'll be hi-jacked or something. And I know this fear is irrational. Somebody else told me a story of being in a 'plane which dropped 1,000 feet in 2 seconds. Can this even happen? And what about the woman who fell through the floor of an airplane and was paralyzed? (did that even happen?)

I am close to cancelling this trip. Which I don't want to do for several reasons (mainly, my family/friends would be angry). I also want to face my fears and, if not so much enjoy the flight, at least not fear it. (Enjoy would be better, though!) I don't want to run away from my fears, but to face them.

Any frequent flyers out there got any ideas? How can I make this trip go quickly? I find it very hard to sleep on airplanes due to the lack of space, or I would take a sleeping pill at the airport.

  • What happens if you are in the toilet and hit turbulance?

I mean, if you are there and the seatbelt sign comes on. Is it safe to go back to your seat? If the turbulence is really bad, what would you have to do?

  • Can an Arabic speaker or Muslim explain what this means please?

I saw someone post something on Facebook referring to "muhajiba's".

I Googled but still no idea what it actual means apart from it's something to do with the hijab. Am I think it refers to people who chose not to wear the hijab? Forgive my ignorance if I am wrong.

    Thank you.

  • is it weird to not want a boyfriend?

I am 26 and have had boyfriends in the past. Right now I am going through some tough times. I want to focus on myself. Some people think it's weird to be single for 4 years though.

Also, if a guy met me do you think he would think it was odd? I have not even so much as kissed anyone in 4 years. I do not believe in casual sex or one night stands. If I met a decent man tomorrow, I would be happy, but I am not going to get together just for the sake of it.
