If that was the case, are you aware enough of that reality to make a conscious choice now; or, are you still trapped in wanting to make moms and/or your teachers happy?
So many of our "liberal" friends were trained as children to toe the Democratic National Committee line so that even to this day they can't see or acknowledge the fact. Sad.

Those older than 25 may recall President Obama chuckling with great amusement about the LACK of "shovel-ready projects" when his American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was passed. IOW, you can allocate the funds, but the enviros are MORE than capable of tying you up in court to the point that you give up.
This leads to the same ? to which we must always return: is this a great country, or what?

...are the public schools in those cities generally doing a better job educating their K-12 students in the basic subjects?
Or, is there generally no distinguishing between the two systems as far as delivering a basic education to their K-12 students?
