Wind power kills thousands of birds each year which are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. According to the American Bird Conservancy, U.S. wind turbines kill an estimated 75,000 to 275,000 birds per year, yet the wind energy industry has never been fined. When Exxon recently killed 85 birds, they were fined $600,000. So, an equal fine for the wind industry should be between $529,000,000 to $1,941,000,000. What's the deal, doesn't the justice department want to rake in some dough?

I am not arguing for or against one type of energy. I don't understand how the law can say one thing, but be enforced with such prejudice. If the law is inadequate, shouldn't it be changed?

I had recently a new compressor put in my car (99 Hyndai Elantra), and had to take the car back. There is a small freon leak somewhere under the dashboard now and it is gonna be too expensive to fix for right now. It will wait until after winter.

So should I cut my A/C belt (the car has 3 belts, 1 is a dedicated A/C belt. I heard that if the refrigerant/oil leaks out, the compressor is dry and can be ruined. I don't want to ruin my new compressor. Is that true? Thanks!!

2006 Corolla CE, AT.

During a couple of months of leaking and then during a repair to fix it, I put in Prestone power steering fluid into my 97 geo prism's(toyota corolla) power steering reservoir. Later I noticed that the cap says to use dexron ATF fluid (oops). Will this be a problem? Do I need to do anything? Thanks
