  • SquareUp vs. Intuit Go Payment?

I own a business that does a lot of sales at open aire markets, and need a mobile credit card processor and reader.

I have done my research in terms of swipe fees, but which do you prefer, SquareUp or Go Payment?

  • Pain like needles in my feet?

For the past two days I have had the sensation of stepping on needles. It is not like pins and needles, more like a single pin point of pain. It is occurring in both feet and lasts a few seconds until I walk it off.

I am a serious runner and assume this pain is just a side effect of pounding on my feet for miles, but why all of a sudden? I have been running for years and this has never happened before.

  • Can't lose weight... what is the problem?

I lost about 70 lbs about a year ago, but have not been able to add to that number since. I am stuck at my current weight and measurements no matter what I do. I run 2-3 miles every other day, eat healthy, and drink plenty of water, but still nothing.

I don't want to hear "maybe your body is fine at this weight". I have hit a plateau before and broke through.

  • 1950 Monark Super Delux Bicycle worth?

I have a vintage balloon tire 1950 Monark Super Delux bike in okay shape (a little surface rust and could use a restoration). Any idea what it is worth as is? Should I restore it and try to sell it, or sell it as is?

  • How much life does my HP laptop have left?

I bought a HP Pavilion dv6 about two years ago. In general it has been a good computer, but recently I have begun to really see it decline. The battery life is horrible (the indicator seems to be incorrect as well), the keyboard does not work as well anymore, it takes forever to load, and the fan turns on constantly. Based on that info, how much longer should I expect it to last?

Also, and suggestions on a new laptop. I heard Sony is good for a pc.

  • How to lose the last bit of weight?

I have recently lost about 70 lbs, and only have 5-10 left to go. I have hit plateaus throughout my weight loss, which is expected, and have seemed to hit the final one. I have been stuck for a couple of months, and really want to break out. Any suggestions or changes I can make?

    Here is my info:

I run 1.5 to 2 miles every other day, or workout on a machine for 20-25 intense

I have a job where I am standing or walking for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week

I eat really healthy, and about 1600 calories a day

I am an apple cider vinegar drinking... I love the stuff!

I drink 1/2 gallon of water a day

    I am 5'5" 118 lbs

Please no "you are at a healthy weight" and "you don't need to lose any more" answers please.

  • Historic Homes in Riverside, CA salvage program?

I LOVE old houses... so much so that I want to buy run down historic homes and restore them. Someone was telling me that Riverside had a program that sells old houses for a really really low price as long as you have plans to bring it back to its former beauty. I have tried doing research on this, but have not found anything. Is this a real program, or just a rumor. If it is real, is it still in use, and where do I find more information?

  • What is wrong with my knee?

Over a year ago I had an accident where I fell directly on my knee pretty hard. It swelled up and became black an blue within a few minutes of the hit, lasting a couple of weeks. By that point, I decided to go see my doctor, thinking a serious injury may have taken place, only to be told "it will go away" and to "take some anti-inflammatories". The RN said x-rays did not show any damage, and it was probably just a short term problem. Well, about 13 months and a few bottles of pills later, my knee is still swollen (to the point I have numbness on the skin) with pain often waking me at night. I am a runner, so I am sure that doesn't help, but if it were nothing, as the doctor seems to believe, why is my knee still acting up? Any ideas of what it could be?... since my doctor seems to think it is dismissible.

  • I want to restore historic homes?

I know the housing market is down, and real estate isn't the best way to make money right now, but I would live to buy historic home (one at a time) and restore them to their original glory. I live in an area where historic homes are everywhere; many of them falling into disrepair. I work with a group called SOHO, so I am familiar with historic home preservation, but how would I be able to make this a career? Is there a degree that would be help or necessary in achieving this?

  • Getting a job on a yacht?

I have a neighbor, who is a deckhand on a yacht, who got me interested in working on a yacht myself. I love the ocean, and spend as much time near the water as possible, so I think it would be a great job for me. I have no idea where to start in terms of looking for work, and the internet sites dedicated to helping people find jobs on yachts don't seem very trustworthy. I would like to work on a yacht that travels to other countries... if possible.

  • Is New School of Architecture, in San Diego, a real college/university?

I know it is a private school, but I have always had the idea it was just another trade school, like ITT Tech. I want to go to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, but unless a miracle saves state school budget, chances of getting into thier already impacted architecture college are slim. I don't want to "put all me eggs in one basket" by only relying on my chances of getting into Cal Poly to achieve my dream, so I want to look at all my options.

Is New School as highly regarded as Cal Poly?

    Is it a trade/career school?

  • Weight Loss at a Stall?

I have been eating really good (and counting calories), and running about 15 miles a week for the past four months, and have lost about 30 pounds, but for the past month to month and a half, I haven't seen my weight go down. By tracking my calorie intake and expense on LoseIt!, I was able to loss 1-2 pounds a week for the first 3 or so months. But it seems now that they have me eating only about 1150 calories a day, based on my current weight, I haven't been able to drop and pounds. I think my body may be in starvation mode, and holding onto the fat. I have recalculated how many calories I need a day to loss 2 pounds a week on numerous websites, and they all say about 1300. Does this seem more accurate? Or is there another explanation to my stall?

    I am a 5'5", 155 lbs female.

  • Vintage Audiomatic Sound System?

I just found a vintage (1960s) Continental Iambic Inc., Audiomatic sound system in my garage, but can not find any information on it on the internet. It is a set of a tape winder box, and a speaker box (that turns into two speakers). How much is this system worth, and is it collectible.

  • Community College for Military Dependents?

My mom is in the Air Force, and she was recently told by one of her friends (also in the Air Force), that his daughter was going to community college for free just because her dad was in the military. He was not talking about the G.I. Bill, he was just saying that military dependents can either go to community college for free, or for a really reduced price. Is this true, and if so, how much of a reduction in price will I get. Each unit is about $26 at the school I am going to in the fall.

  • Clear Coat Won't Get Shinny?

I just painted my surfboard, and then clear coated it, to protect the paint, and make it look like the original epoxy and fiberglass top layer. The clear coat came out blotchy, so I wet sanded it down, increasing grits, but it still looks dull. I even used a car buffer to try to shine the clear coat up, but no luck. Any suggestions?

  • Does Delta Serve Meals?

I am going on a flight from San Diego to Minnesota, so I was wondering if Delta served meals on long flights like that. On the online ticket purchase, it asked my what type of meal I wanted, so I am assuming they do serve something, but I just wanted to make sure.
